Rafting Aude

In Languedoc-Roussillon in the Aude department, the Aude river flows over 230 kilometres. It has its source in the commune of Les Angles, a high-altitude village, which is also a ski resort during the winter.

Two water reservoirs, that of Puyvalador and that of Matemale allow the Aude to have a flow of around 10 cubic meters during the summer.

We descend the most tumultuous rapids of this river on a descent of fourteen kilometers maximum. We cross the gorges of Saint Georges in Axat and that of Pierre Lys in Saint Martin Lys.

Rapids are rated in class which starts at one and can go up to six.

The Aude has two class four kilometers in the Pierre-Lys gorges.

The department is rich in history with the Cathar castles, the city of Carcassonne, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Rafting course

We offer three river descents, a family descent, a sports descent and a full descent, for a maximum of fourteen kilometers. Children can come and row in the rapids, the only condition is to know how to swim.
